Feeling Stuck

One of the biggest things I hate is when I get in the car, try to put my seat belt on, and the seat belt gets stuck. The first response I have, or anybody would have, is to tug on it and keep trying to pull it until it gets unstuck. But it just won’t because it’s not in a position where it can be released, so I have to tug a little but wait until it’s in a position to be pulled. That’s like with life. Sometimes we keep tugging on or holding on to stuff that is only hindering us from moving on. If we just let things go and put circumstances in God’s hand, where he can loosen them to make them better for us, our situations will be put in a position where we can handle them. On that same note, it’s important to realize how not everything is meant to be moved when we want it to move. Some things just take patience and time to fulfill a purpose that God has destined for us and not man. Always remember, if you’re in a situation where you feel stuck, let go, let God, and understand that putting your effort into a situation that only God can control will only lead you into a cycle of unnecessary burdens. Let the seat belt go!

Wait In Line! Your Time Is Coming!

In the beginning of the semester, I can't even tell you how many times I ate at Chick-fil-A on campus. It was the best place to eat on campus in my opinion, and I believe a lot of other people thought the same thing considering the long Chick-fil-A lines. There's not one time where I went to the fast-food restaurant and the line wasn't long. It would take about 15 minutes for me to get to the screen to put in my order and another 10 minutes to receive it. On the other hand, standing in those long lines made me impatient, but I had realized something. As I move up in the line, more people would get in it. Where am I getting at with this? Even though the line was long, I was relieved of not being towards the end of it. I was grateful that I was in the spot that I was in, because I could've been at the end waiting longer to get my food.           My point is...wait in line because there's someone that wish they were in your spot. It ...

Restart & Update: It's All A Part of the Process

About 2 years ago, I had invested in a Chromebook laptop to work on the things I wanted to achieve, such as this blog. One thing that I noticed about it is that it needs constant updating. Sometimes my laptop can glitch and become slow if it's not properly updated when required.  Sometimes in life we can go through uncomfortable situations or circumstances that require us to restart and update. Through the different seasons of life we may encounter, they all call for something different to be produced in our lives and we have to be the initiators of the fruit we want to bare. Yes, it can feel weird and uneasy at first, but that just means that you're in a season of transition. A caterpillar has to be enclosed in a cocoon, a tight and probably uncomfortable space, in order to transform into its potential self of a butterfly. Comparing how it's abilities differ from how the caterpillar started versus it's final transition, it was only able to crawl an...

It Starts With Your Foundation

I think it's amazing how God can speak to us through the little things in life.       In my dorm room, I have 3 plants that I love to care for. One of my plants I left at my dorm while I was gone back home for Christmas break. When I came back, the plant was withered, weak, and the stems were droopy. I didn't want to just give up on my plant so I began to water it. While I watered it, God put an awareness in my spirit. I realized that I wasn't watering the leaves or the stems, but the soil.       Then I got the revelation! Why do a plant need more tending to its soil and roots? Why does that have the most impact on the growth of the plant? These questions stirred in my head, but then I got the understanding that feeding into a plant's foundation helps it obtain the resources and strength to grow. It's the foundation that makes it strong and able to withstand its environment or circumstance. It's the foundation that the plant uses to obtain what it...
